With Halloween less than a week away, it’s time to get cracking on a hot costume. It can be tough to decide just what to dress up as, but I’ve got you covered. I’ve curated a list of the hottest Halloween costumes.

Masked & Mysterious 

This is for fans of low-effort and low-budget costumes. All you need is a spooky mask, black pants, black boots, and body confidence (t-shirts are optional). You can spend the night ominously lurking in the background while you flex your muscles. And, if you are shy, it’s a great excuse not to talk much or just respond in short sentences. So, get your mask on and start showing off your hot body!

Slutty (Insert Job Title Here)

From slutty nurses to slutty tradies, this is one of the most versatile and fun costumes. All you need is some sort of uniform, and you’re ready to go. Pair it with a set of fishnet stockings and some heels for the hottest look. And don’t forget to leave a few extra buttons open on your shirt. Also, think of fun ways you can include the tools of the trade in your costume and night out. For example, if you’re dressed up as a slutty nurse, fill up some syringes with alcohol to use as shots throughout the night!

Vampires

Another classic costume is a vampire, but to make this outfit shine, I recommend ditching the cape and picking up some black eyeliner. A dark and smudged eyeliner is the perfect addition to any vampiric look. So grab some fangs, wear your hottest black or dark coloured outfit and become a creature of the night.

Angels & Devils

Are you a saint or a sinner? Well, on Halloween, you get to pick. All you need is a set of wings and either a halo or some horns. For an angelic outfit, wear white or soft pastels and keep your make-up light and sparkly. For the devilish, red and black are your colours for the night and dark, sharp make-up will add a wicked edge to your costume. Don’t forget to play up your costume throughout the night, especially if you can be the devil whispering in someone’s ear.

Sexy Animals

Our last suggestion was made famous by Legally Blonde, but you don’t have to be a bunny. Any cute animal will do, just find a pair of animal ears and maybe a tail to match. For the truly confident, you can wear lingerie or a bodysuit with tights and heels. Otherwise, matching animal print will do. Then spend the rest of the night running wild on the town.

This year’s Adult Industry Choice Awards (AICA) is drawing close. Harlots Canberra is nominated for two awards, ‘Best Brothel’ and ‘Best Escort Agency’, so we thought we would tell you all about it.

History

Sebastian Ryan founded the AICA five years ago. His experience and knowledge of both the adult industry and event management made it the perfect venture. In the five years since its inception, it has grown and evolved into the industry’s “night of nights”. The awards up for grabs range from individual awards, like best touring escort or content creator, to awards for parlours and brothels. But it’s not just an awards night, it’s also an opportunity to network, build community and celebrate. 

In 2025, Ryan stepped back to pursue other passions. Million Billion Media then acquired the AICA. They plan to bring forth a new era of sophistication and inclusion to the awards.

What To Expect & What To Expect

This year’s award ceremony will take place on November 30th at the Brisbane Showgrounds and will be hosted by Rob Mills. Tickets for the awards cost $399 (with a discount to industry workers) and include red carpet arrival, a three-course meal, an all-evening drinks package and a premium gift bag plus complimentary entry to the SXhibition all weekend. How To Vote

Voting for the AICA is still open until midnight on November 25th. You can vote every day for your favourite industry superstars, and you don’t have to vote for every category.  I recommend voting for Harlots Canberra for ‘Best Brothel’ and ‘Best Escort Agency’, but I could be a bit biased. Sinners

Sinners only came out this year and has just been added to HBO Max. It’s a fantastic vampire flick with a hot cast to match. You’ll follow twin brothers ‘Smoke’ and ‘Stack’, played by the ever-handsome Michael B. Jordan, as they return to their hometown for a fresh star. However, a dark and supernatural evil has come to town and threatens to destroy everything. It starts off pretty slow, introducing all the main characters and how their pasts intertwine before getting into the thrilling action after dark. A perfect mix of jumps scares, thrilling action and spicy sex scenes.

Jennifer’s Body

This cult classic is fun, freaky and a bit gory. This film explores the complex relationship between best friends, especially when you add demonic rituals and possession to the mix. The movie follows Jennifer, played by Megan Fox, who begins on a murderous and cannibalistic killing spree after the mysterious events of a rock concert she attended with her bookwormish best friend Needy, played by Amanda Seyfried. When Needy finds out what Jennifer has been up to, she must find a way to stop her. Jennifer’s Body is one of my favourite comedy horrors and is definitely worth watching. You can stream it on Stan.

Scream

Scream is a classic slasher flick, mixing your favourite slasher deaths with a satirical sense of humour. Follow Sidney Prescott, who is still dealing with her mother’s murder, as her small town is thrown into chaos by a serial killer wearing a ghost mask. The events that follow are sprinkled with jokes and nods to classic horror and slasher movie tropes. It is such a fun film to watch, and with 5 sequels, one more on the way, and a TV series in the franchise, it’s perfect for a movie marathon. You can stream Scream on Stan.

But Mina wants her freedom, so what is a bad guy to do? This romance has a twisted male love interest and a good mix of smut and bloodshed. 

Ghostface

Do you prefer your love interests to stalk you in the night and chase you through the woods whilst also maintaining a quirky sense of humour? Then Navessa Allen’s Lights Out is perfect for you. Aly has a thing for masked men, but when her favourite thirst trap maker, The Faceless Man, posts a video from inside her house, she has to decide just how far her kink goes. This book is equal parts witty and steamy. I especially recommend the audiobook.

Jason

Lastly, for our slasher fans who love a bit of violence with their smut. I recommend Wicked Pursuit by Katee Robert. This novel is inspired by the fairytale Red Riding Hood, and follows Ruby, a mob princess who lives life dangerously, but what is she to do when she acquires a stalker who will kill anyone who touches what is his? This novel is very short on plot but full of smut!
