Can you believe it? 2025 is nearly over! To close out the year, I have chosen the hottest book, movie and TV show of the year for you to enjoy. 

Caught Up

The award for hottest book of the year has to go to Caught Up by Navessa Allen. It is the second book in the Into Darkness series, and it is just as hot (if not more so) as Lights Out. Nico “Junior” Trocci has a dark obsession with Lauren Marchetti, even if he knows she’s off limits. But paying for scantily clad or even fully pornographic videos online isn’t enough anymore; he’s ready to go after what he wants. Can Lauren fight the white-hot desire building between them?
The audiobook is even better with the dulcet tones of Teddy Hamilton and Kasi Hollowell stealing the show. If you haven’t read or listened to it yet, then you are missing out! 

Sinners

For the hottest film, I have to pick Sinners. Sinners came out in April of this year, and it is the perfect mix of jumps scares, thrilling action and spicy sex scenes. You’ll follow twin brothers ‘Smoke’ and ‘Stack’, played by the ever-handsome Michael B. Jordan, as they return to their hometown for a fresh start. However, a dark and supernatural evil has come to town and threatens to destroy everything. It starts off pretty slow, introducing all the main characters and how their pasts intertwine before getting into the thrilling action after dark. It’s a great watch to cuddle up with a partner while you’re thrilled and tantalised at the same time. 

Heated Rivalry

If you’ve read some of my other blogs, you may have seen me recommend Heated Rivalry by Rachel Reid. Well, that fantastic book has been adapted into one of the best TV shows I’ve ever seen. I’m a little bit obsessed. It follows two pro hockey stars, Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov, who have a hot rivalry on the ice and an even hotter connection in the bedroom. Can they resist each other, or is the tension on and off the ice too much?
Truly one of the hottest shows I’ve ever seen! Definitely worth the watch.

Gifting Me To His Best Friend by Katee Robert

The release of the TV adaptation of my favourite ice hockey romance is only a couple of weeks away. So, I thought I would give you my smutty reading recs for some of your favourite sports.

Ice Hockey

Ice hockey romances have quickly become my favourite genre of sport romances. Maybe it’s the combination of cold ice and heated touches that makes them so irresistible. My recommendation if you are an ice hockey fan is the Game Changer series by Rachel Reid. Each book follows a different gay couple as they try and balance hockey with their steamy personal lives. Watersports

Sadly, I do not mean the kink. However, if you are a fan of competitive swimming or diving, then you might enjoy Deep End by Ali Hazelwood. American Football

Do I understand the rules of American football? No. Do I enjoy sports romances with hulking quarterback leads? Absolutely. Learn My Lesson

Next up is Robert’s Wicked Villains series. Do you sometimes find yourself rooting for the villain when watching a Disney movie? Well, Roberr has written a whole series dedicated to beloved villains and how they taunt and taint the heroes of their stories. My favourite in this series is Learn My Lesson, which follows Hades, Hercules and Megaera. Hercules is determined to save Megaera from Hades, but has he fallen right into a trap? And what if he starts to enjoy being a captive… It explores BDSM, exhibitionism, kink, and so much more. It is one of Robert’s most erotic novels. Definitely worth checking out.

The Demon’s Bargain

Finally, for the more anatomically adventurous readers, we have the A Deal With A Demon series, which follows a group of humans who have pledged seven years of their lives in exchange for something they desperately desire. Each book features a different creature, like a dragon or a kraken, but my favourite would be The Demon’s Bargain.  It doesn’t follow one of the core humans, but the demon, Ramanu, assigned to protect them and the witch they have their eye on. When this witch summons them for a demonic deal to return a fairly heirloom, Ramanu is more than pleased to help, even if the witch is hesitant to pay the seven-year price tag. It’s hot, spicy with a hint of vengeance.

Do you prefer your love interests to stalk you in the night and chase you through the woods whilst also maintaining a quirky sense of humour? Then Navessa Allen’s Lights Out is perfect for you. Aly has a thing for masked men, but when her favourite thirst trap maker, The Faceless Man, posts a video from inside her house, she has to decide just how far her kink goes. This book is equal parts witty and steamy. I especially recommend the audiobook.

Lastly, for our slasher fans who love a bit of violence with their smut. I recommend Wicked Pursuit by Katee Robert. This novel is inspired by the fairytale Red Riding Hood, and follows Ruby, a mob princess who lives life dangerously, but what is she to do when she acquires a stalker who will kill anyone who touches what is his? This novel is very short on plot but full of smut!
